Reasons you should live in Philadelphia

Often bypassed for New York, Boston, and Washington, DC, Philadelphia is the dark horse of the East Coast. Here are reasons young professionals and families move to sunny Philadelphia.

There’s no need for people to have a car.

The lack of parking space was once the city’s problem turned into a solution. Philadelphia has become one of the most pedestrian-friendly places in the United States. The city is also a place for commuters with its efficient transit system. The University City is dubbed as the “bikers’ paradise.”

The cost of living is cheaper.

Compared to bigger cities, the cost of living in Philadelphia is inexpensive. Rent is affordable. Even with the resurgence of restaurants and other urban settings, housing prices in Philadelphia remain the same.

The city is culture-rich.

Philadelphia is an art-friendly city. On the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, you will find the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, and the Rodin Museum. Music schools like the Curtis Institute host free recitals from time to time. And of course, who haven’t heard of The Philadelphia Orchestra?

It has great parks.

If you’re looking for a place where culture and nature meet, Philadelphia is the right place for you. Take a scenic walk along the Rittenhouse and Washington Squares. Bike around and have a nice picnic by the Schuylkill River. If you’re looking for a peaceful place with an urban vibe, check out the Fairmount Park.

Live in a posh Philadelphia apartment that is just a few minutes away from the Center City. Check out Bala Apartmentsofficial website for more information.

  2. I visited my cousin last year and I fell in love with the place. I miss the soft pretzels which you can almost buy everywhere.

  3. I've been in some major cities in the US but nowhere have I been happier than in Philly. It's like big enough to have everything you want and at the same time small enough to feel right at home wherever you might wander.
